Attorneys Inc. is a law firm founded and located in Missoula, Montana. Two young lawyers from the University of Montana School
of Law established this firm in 1981. Attorneys Inc. continues to emphasize claims by people injured in accidents, during
on-the-job injuries, and by defective products. Attorneys Inc. also represents people in dispute with an insurance company or who have been treated
unfairly or in bad faith by an insurance company. Attorneys Inc. offers settlement master services, jury research services,
and focus group services to the legal community.
Attorneys Inc. practices in courts across Montana, including State District Court, the Montana Supreme Court, Workers' Compensation
Court, Montana Federal District Court, and Tribal Court. Attorneys Inc. also practices in the United States Court of Appeals for the
Ninth Circuit as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
Attorneys Inc. is a leader in helping Montana claimants, whether they be individuals or small businesses. The lawyers at Attorneys
Inc. have extensive courtroom experience and have won many cases at trial and before the Montana Supreme Court.
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. Attorneys Inc. has successfully challenged as unconstitutional workers'
compensation statutes designed by the insurance industry/lobbyists and passed into law by the Montana legislature limiting
the rights of older workers. Attorneys Inc. has won other cases in the Montana Supreme Court that changed the landscape
of Montana workers' compensation law. Attorneys Inc. has also won multiple landmark automobile insurance cases, and has
represented clients affected by the Libby asbestos mining.
Rex Palmer
Rex Palmer is a third generation Montanan. He is president of Attorneys Inc., P.C., a founding lawyer, and a 1981 graduate of
The University of Montana School of Law. Rex has been in private practice his entire career and represented hundreds of clients
in many different courts.
Rex has successfully mediated many cases and is available to serve as neutral settlement master. He has also been a member of
the Montana Medical-Legal Panel, the step a plaintiff must take before filing a medical malpractice claim.
Lincoln Palmer
Lincoln Palmer is a fourth generation Montanan. He graduated from the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of
Montana in 2018. Lincoln graduated with honors and received the Norman Hanson Legal Writing Award for Appellate Advocacy.
During law school he interned with the Montana Workers' Compensation Court and at the US District Court for the District of
Montana for the Honorable Judge Molloy. Lincoln's practice emphasizes personal injury, insurance disputes, consumer protection,
and workers' compensation. Lincoln enjoys spending time with his family - his wife Sarah and his young son and daughter. He
also enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and rock climbing.
Recent Results
In 2024 Lincoln won an arbitration verdict of $1,005,073.20. American Arbitration Association Case No. 01-22-0002-4335.
The case concerned a company selling extended vehicle warranties. Lincoln’s client had made a claim with the company for
a $5,100 transmission repair. Lincoln argued the company wrongfully denied paying for the repair. Lincoln won consumer
protection damages and punitive damages against the extended vehicle warranty company.
In 2022 Lincoln won a jury verdict in Montana District Court in Missoula of $790,941.00. Cause No. DV-20-1388. The case
concerned a car crash in Missoula. The insurance company defending the claim offered $38,500 as its highest pre-trial
settlement offer.
In Kaul v. State Farm, 2021 MT 67, Lincoln appealed a case involving property insurance to the Montana Supreme Court. After
hearing oral argument, the Montana Supreme Court reversed the district court, finding insurance coverage for Lincoln’s clients.
Awards and Honors
In August of 2022 Lincoln was awarded the 2022 Outstanding New Lawyer Award from the Montana Trial Lawyers
Association. The statewide honor is awarded to an attorney who has practiced for less than seven years, who
has shown professional excellence in trial practice and appellate practice in the State of Montana.
