The Federal Employees Liability Act (FELA) requires the railroad to pay railroad workers who
are injured on the job if the railroad was negligent or careless or provided unsafe equipment. The railroad can be liable
for overuse or vibration injuries the same as a broken leg or a back injury. The railroad can be liable under FELA if the
injury occurs while the railroad is transferring a worker even if the worker is not actively working at the time of the
injury.
There are deadlines for filing FELA claims. You lose if you do not file by the deadline. If you're unsure whether you are close
to a deadline, contact Attorneys Inc.
